School Crest Seamount College Kinvara School Crest

Seamount College is a voluntary, co-educational Catholic secondary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Galway.

Seamount College is located in the west of Ireland on a five-acre site overlooking Kinvara Bay and nestled in the uniquely beautiful village of Kinvara. The remains of the 7th century Dunguaire Castle are to the northeast; and the spectacular Burren mountains, relics of the Ice Age extend to the south. There is no doubt that students are influenced and moulded by such a spectacular backdrop while learning.

Our Mission Statement
Our aim is to provide, with the support of parents, a holistic, Christian education in a caring, respectful environment where teaching and learning lead to the development of the full potential of each individual in the school community.

It is hoped that students will leave us adequately prepared for life, with a healthy self-image and the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing world.

The school enjoys tremendous support from an active Parent’s Council and Student’s Council.

The school is well served by dedicated members of its Boards of Management working for the improvement of teaching and learning facilities as well as the enhancement of the physical building and grounds.
