School Self Evaluation (SSE) is a process that schools all over the country engage in. “SSE is designed as a process of collaborative, internal school review that is focused on school improvement.” 1 It is envisaged as a process which is based on reliable information from all school stakeholders including students, their parents, staff and management to improve the
learning experiences of students. It identifies the strengths to build on within the school and results in the development of a School Improvement Plan which sets targets for improvement in certain areas.
In the academic year 2023/4 following input from students, their parents, staff and management, Seamount College has picked the SSE focus of “How to best support students in their study, revision and management of coursework.”
